Schools constantly are suffering from a lack in capital, and to get students to excel and be prepared for this ever growing world we need to teach them the skills to be number 1 in the world.  That means adapting to the way they learn and using the powerful resources such as the internet. Most people think… “To have every student and staff utilize the internet is too expensive for our budget” or “We don’t know how to go about doing this” or “Our staff are not tech savy.”

That is why in 1997 the US government came out with E-Rate.  E-Rate is a program that assist you in paying up to 90% of the cost to get your school technology upgraded, and goes through a process of assisting you planning it out.  Of course you will also need an IT company who can assist you with this, but thanks to E-Rate this will minimize the cost of the upgrade.

E-Rate will assist with….

  • Planning of the development of technology for schools and libraries
  • Pay up to 90% of the cost for the upgrade
  • Make sure that the proper documents are in order and timeline is accurate

E-Rate eligibility services

  • Basic phone service, which includes local and long distance (toll) service
  • Leased data circuits
  • T-1, 56K, ISDN lines
  • Dial-up Internet access
